At la Guérinière, the island of Noirmoutier narrows before becoming the bay of Bourgneuf. It is in a pine forest on this stretch of headland just ½ mile wide that the Hotel Punta Lara was built facing the Atlantic

Hidden away in the "spit of the Loire" with its dune and tamarisks are fifteen Vendean Houses like some oasis village, blending perfectly with the seascape.
